I WAS DOING A LOT OF PLOTTING FOR NOTAFIC STUFF LAST NIGHT
and Wednesday night when I had originally intended to get this up I was plotting for another novel which I probably won't touch for like ten years or so it's very very low on my list when it comes to writing it but I very much intend to write it.
It's, ah, my fic-based novel. And by that I mean I took the basic plot of my fic and stripped away all KH elements and. Like. Plot-wise, the only thing really left is the Rebellion and that's it. (And there's still Replicas because yay Replicas.)
Oh and the characters are a little similar, but only so much so? Like all of their roles are essentially the same? Sorta?
Idk so far they all seem very different from their fic-equivalents like. The three that are closest to their fic-equivalents are:
James - my Riku equivalent
Jessica Susan - my Namine equivalent
and then the Vexen equivalent who I haven't named.
(I can't decide on a name that like. Fits him. Tho I might go with Kenneth because it kept popping up and it's like. A sign or something. Idk.)
And I think even then that these three will end up different because of how the story's gonna unfold and unfold much differently, so they'll have different experiences to shape them and stuff, y'know? They've got a lot of the basic characteristics still but it's only basic characteristics.
AND REAL QUICK I'M GONNA GO ON A TANGENT ABOUT THREE OTHER CHARACTERS I'M REALLY REALLY PROUD OF YOU CAN LIKE. NOT READ IT THO. I'LL PUT A NOTE AT THE BOTTOM SAYING I'M DONE TALKING ABOUT IT
I'm just. Natalie.
Natalie is my- the canon Namine equivalent. But besides like. The fact that James had a brief crush on her, she isn't at all like canon Namine. And it's largely because of who her parents are.
I'M GONNA SOUND CRAZY BUT I MADE HER PARENTS THE LARXENE AND MARLUXIA EQUIVALENTS.
They're names are Evelyn and Raymond. To get that out there.
(It's pronounced Ev-eh-lyn btw. You say it fast enough and it sounds like Ev-lyn tho. I might change the spelling to Evlyn so people don't assume Eve-lyn because it's not Eve-lyn and the name's not common...)
See, I knew from the beginning that Natalie was very very likely going to be Raymond's daughter. And then shortly down the line I was like "haha and Evelyn's her mother" and I was joking but then I grew largely attached to it
AND I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE PROBABLY THINKING. WOW. WHAT AN AWFUL SET OF PARENTS I BET THEY WERE HORRIBLE TO HER
But actually that's not true!!It's the exact opposite of true! They both love Natalie a whole lot. To the point where they've spoiled her rotten and uh. Ha. They love her a lot and they're really sweet with her and like
They aren't perfect and they aren't necessarily good people (they are still something of my antagonists) but they do love Natalie a lot and they'd never hurt her
There isn't much to say about how Raymond's changed because I never exactly intended him to be like Marluxia tbh.
As for Evelyn she's. She's still a little like Larxene: she has the potential to be cruel and she also can beat the crud out of you if you tick her off
But she has a heart and she has a soft side and she is very very protective of her daughter
AND AS FOR NATALIE LIKE. Given who her parents are she's a completely different person from Namine
Because her mother taught her how to be assertive and manipulate situations so they met her own ends
and her father taught her to respect authority but, well, "You're technically authority around here so if anyone bugs you just let me or your mom know and we'll take care of it"
Long story short Natalie is essentially a spoiled-brat... It's uh. Yeah.
BUT I LOVE HER FAMILY AND HER PARENTS A LOT IT'S A WEIRD FEELING BUT MAN I LOVE THEM

little upset because she loves him and it’s sad that he hasn’t noticed that

that he found someone who cares about

Not romantically
Just loves him
Like he needs
She is more than
happy for him

SINCE SHE’S BEEN
IN HIS HEAD
She’s felt the
reality of hugs and how tangible they are to him
How concrete
How he can’t deny
them
And so she hardly
hesitates
To kiss him again
Because that is
affection at its purest
And she wants him
to understand what she feels for him
She wants him to
understand that she loves him and has always loved him
She wants him to
feel loved by her
And now she knows
how to convey it
I changed it so
that she kisses him on the cheek instead of the forhead because that seems a
liiiiiiiiiitle more likely idk
