Nothing's Fair

With Saix in charge of the Replica Program, life is hard for Roxas and other Replicas like him. Xion’s got it even worse - she’s a mistake, and all mistakes are destroyed. How far will Roxas go to protect her?

Backstory/Plotting:

The Original Nothing's Fair, according to saved IM conversations, I first thought up on my birthday, while in the shower. I probably went "well hmm Roxas and Xion in my universe" and likely thought up the entirety of the plot during that shower.
I wanted to squeeze Roxas and Xion into FtPverse, but had slated them both for death from the beginning, because Dead Inside was already planned and I didn't want to rework it to include them.

Come the Rewrite, Roxas and Xion's deaths don't change, because, I mean, Dead Inside was finished. But I wanted to do the Rewrite because the Original Nothing's Fair was only 9 chapters and short and poorly written, and it was worth my time to Rewrite it and clear up continuity

Also Roxas and Xion deserved better than what they'd initially got.

Fun plotting notes:

For the Rewrite, of course, as I will be answering all of these for, now.

I'm not sure, exactly?? I just had a lot of fun with anything involving R, and I'm absolutely in love with how I executed the ending.

This isn't plotting, but also: I watched new readers come into Nothing's Fair and I just sat there reading their reviews like B))) because nothing is okay in the end, and they didn't know that.

Memorable moments:
  • I really like when Xion wakes up and she's like "ahhh this is niCE WAIT WHY IS THERE A HAND COVERING MY MOUTH"
  • I also like Xemnas's reference to Terra
  • R. everything about and involving R. I mean. Come on
  • AXEL GOING "THERE ARE NO PRETTY GIRLS HERE JUST LARXENES"
  • I really like the Xion and Axel scene in chapter 25
  • I also like how the Organization just SHREDS Axel in chapter 27
  • And I like Roxas's "I WON'T BE USED I'M NOT A TOOL" thing
  • also how I described him performing his limit

One thing I'm grateful for:

THE ORIGINAL IS THE STORY THAT DREW IN KKBECKETT AND WOW AM I GLAD FOR THAT.
