I’ve seen you two
together. You may not love her, but I’ve seen how happy she makes you. And if
you have someone in your life that makes you that happy, you should spend as
much time as you can with them. Because there’s a chance that your time in
these worlds is limited. And the only thing worse than having to leave the
people you love behind. Is knowing you didn’t spend as much time with them as
you could’ve.
Aerith and Namine believe
the same thing but they believe it for different reasons

And it just leaves this
empty feeling in her chest and a pit in her stomach that keeps her up all night
because she feels kind of nauseous and trying to sleep is pointless because her
thoughts drift to him and it only makes it worse so she has to stay up and
distract herselfs and probably reads a book or does chores (she can probably clear
her mind when she does dishes and that’s why she does them by herself because
that’s a good ten, fifteen, thirty, or even forty-five minutes where she
doesn’t have to think about him or anything else)

Okay though
So Aerith—though not 100%
sure/comfortable with what Riku’s doing—understands that he really wants to do
it and really believes Alpha might be right, or that it’s at least worth it to
test the theory
So she does talk him out
of going home a few times
Even though she thinks he
should go
Say “forget this crap” and
just spend forever with Namine like he wants
And when she finds out Namine said she wanted to spend
