Semi-hiatus news???

All that Remains is on "semi-hiatus" because, I'm not sure yet this is going to be a full hiatus, and I really don't want it to be, but I definitely need to slow down how often I update.

Update schedule is, at the least, going to be bumped down to 7 days vs 5 days, though right now, it might honestly "be every other week" hence the semi-hiatus.



See, the thing is:

I have twenty characters to keep tabs on and I'm starting to realize just how much trouble that is. I wanted to do a cheat sheet ft their opinions on, well, literally every event (so that I don't forget it for the main characters, and the secondaries are at less risk of falling flat) and I've been working on it today and have not even moved through a single character yet.

I think this sheet is going to help me out a lot, but, seeing as my buffer is nearly non-existent (two chapters with a third coming no time soon) and that this sheet is going to take a while.... well, we have our semi-hiatus.


I want to be careful with All that Remains, and I don't want to rush. I regret doing that with Dead Inside, I regret doing that with the start of All that Remains, I regret not considering every character on my plate to be sure I was addressing each of their plotlines in equal amounts. I'm not in an easy position to go back and fix anything (fanfiction has never been an easy medium to do that in), so all I can do is from this point make it better.


This is going to take a lot of work, and from the feel of things, a lot of time.


I'm considering each main character very carefully, and their plotlines from here very carefully. I promise that I'm going to deliver something that (I think, at least) is gonna be really good. I just need time to do it. You can't rush perfection.


Once I get a buffer again, update schedule should go back to normal, but between the character sheet and the fact I need to rewrite ch44, it's going to be a while before I work up a good buffer.

THIS ISNT' AT ALL ON THE SUBJECT, BUT!! I started playing FF8 (I have plans for Rinoa to appear in ATR ayyy) and you can check out my liveblog here, plus a brief explanation of how the events of FF8 fit into FtPverse (if there's anything I didn't cover, for now just assume it happened like it did in magik's universe)

Edit: ff8 doesn't happen like that in ftpverse, I realized that I could have Zack and Aerith tag along, and decided it was a lot more interesting to consider a ff8 that played out ft them, and so!! That is now FtPverse canon!! What details I have are on the Prequel page and the Official Timeline. Also they're on my tumblr here.
