BTW I REALLY LOVE THIS CHAPTER. 183 AND 184 ARE DEFINITELY MY FAVORITES FROM THIS NEVERLAND SEQUENCE but tbh I really really like the Neverland sequence in general. A lot. Which is suprising, giving it's a Sora sequence. Ha.
(But between Roxas and Shad it's no surprise. Also Peter being a lot of fun to write for.)

for a bit there I was really super tempted to have her insult him in Shadow Tongue. Because tbh there's a 90% chance she's part of/at least knows of the Courts
AND IT WAS A SUPER ENTERTAINING THOUGHT of her and the Angel being in league with each other and then Maleficent later reporting Shad for being the disgrace he is loooooooong sigh.
Also her berating Shad for being a disgrace to the Courts and All of Darkness's Name and "you don't even deserve the name Shadow" -- tho tbh she'd probably say Sheto with the accent
I do like what I have tho. I like what I have a whooooooooole lot
(My favorite bit is the "Low life piece of light stained scum" bit but a close second is how scared Shad gets in reaction to being called tainted. I'll rant about that in a mo)

AND THEN REAL QUICK MY FEELS ABOUT LAURA PALMER AND SHAD. It's just. The whole playlist is how he's Sora's Shadow and he hates it or at least he doesn't enjoy it and he doesn't enjoy being dependent on Sora
But the song Laura Palmer

The song reaffirms to him that he has his own heart and that it is okay and I'm just. Feels.

ALSO I DID A THING AGAIN
And by thing I mean a little voice acting thing.
This scene--Shad vs Maleficent--was actually the first thing I tried to act out! Of course my first take was really nervous and quiet, and then we don't talk about the second take. This is the third take and I'm really proud of it!
My Maleficent isn't too good but it's never been that good. Getting her side louder and more confident was quite the accomplishment
And then I really like Shad's side. I accidentally made it super dramatic on the first try and the fear in his voice as he protested to being tainted
I think I duplicated that on this take, which I'm really happy about!
(On another note tho I woke my mom while recording it but it was like 3am and I was yelling so it's no surprise you should've seen the spikes on the audio)
(Also if anyone wants me to, I can put the first take up. Shad's side was still pretty good there.)
