Totally Procrasinating (plus some UPDATES which are towards the bottom)

I was working on this one scene that Namine was like "WRITE!! WRITE IT NOW!!" and then my laptop started dying, so I had to move out to the living room (where my cord is, since I usually sit out in the living room and it's a hassle to move my cord around) which, in hindsight, was a bad idea. I got distracted by Toy Story 3, and then that stupid new Disney Princess movie they have out (which was incredibly short) and then dinner...

and Now I lost the groove to write (and what is up with the capitalization in that sentence? Eh, too lazy to fix it...)

that's okay, I'll get back to it eventually

FIRST OFF!

I was on KH13 because I was hoping there'd be cutscenes/trailers (but most likely trailers) up for KHHD1.5 whatever thing, because I'm REALLY excited about Days.

There wasn't

but oh well

I found this interview with... Nomura. Whatever his first name (or is it his last name? I'm usually not confused by this...) is.

Anyway, exciting news about the remake of Days!! (the following is ripped from KH13's site, and I'll leave the formatting as they had it)

---Are the HD videos of Days you may enjoy the same as the cutscenes compiled in ‘Theatre Mode’ in the original title?
Nomura: They are included too, but we’ve put around 70% of the main story overall (※excluding cutscenes from Disney worlds) to video, and the Disney worlds and such are supplemented through screens of text. According to the person in charge, there are over 100 cutscenes, and they are about 2-3 hours in total. It’s still not finished so I can’t give you the exact time, but the content will take more than an hour to finish viewing, at least.

And, well, did you read that? Days is going to be somewhere between 2-3 hours. WHOOO!!

Haha, sorry, Days might be my favorite KH game. Maybe. I have trouble picking favorites, as I think I've already told all of you, though I can most certainly say KH2 isn't my favorite. It's just... not. Neither is Coded (but Coded was totally filler). But, I can't pick between KH1, KHCoM, BBS, and Days. Don't make me try.

Anyway, I AM a bit disappointed/worried to hear that the Disney worlds will not be covered in cutscenes. That's fine and all, really, but there are a few things that occur IN DISNEY WORLDS that I would've liked to see...

Like, that part where Roxas and Xion are tricked into fighting each other and Axel stops them? Happens in Holloweentown. Do they plan to take that out? (I hope not; I was excited to see that in proper cutscene form!)

Agrabah; where Roxas and Xion are fighting a giant Heartless and Xion kills it in one hit?

Beast's Castle: That mission where Xion gets her Keyblade back and Roxas uses a stick?

Wonderland: toward the end, where Xion attacks Xigbar and runs off. I'd like to see that in proper cutscene form, too!

And what about the Xion and Riku battle, which happens at Beast's Castle?

I mean, I understand WHY they aren't going to cover Disney Worlds; it'd be too much of a pain and they aren't ALWAYS related to the plot, and they are trying to get this released relatively soon. Gathering the VAs for all the Disney charries would be a lot of work, as would rendering all the cutscenes that occur in them.
But I am still a bit worried. There are a few major plotpoints that happen in Disney Worlds that they really CAN'T leave out. Are they just not going to cover Roxas's missions? That does, of course, still cut out some of my list, but it would leave Xion attacking Xigbar and Xion vs Riku. (I doubt they'll cut the Xion vs Riku thing, though. It's already a cutscene! They could just be lazy (like in Crisis Core) and use what they already have.)
The Roxas vs Xion battle could be moved to a different setting
as could Xion attacking Xigbar, actually
they don't necessarily need Xion killing a Heartless in one hit (not as a cutscene, anyway)
And I guess they don't HAVE to cover in cutscene form Xion getting her Keyblade back...

Regardless of what they do, I REALLY WANT to see Roxas and Xion nearly killing each other and Xion attacking Xigbar. ("Why do you always stare at me like I just drowned your goldfish?")

That, and a slightly unrelated note, I'm worried who they'll use as Xion's VA. I heard in KH3D they used Kairi's (but I also hear Xion only had a few lines), and in Japan they use Kairi's for Xion (which, actually, makes total sense) but Xion was introduced with Alyson Stoner as her VA. Changing it to whoever voices Kairi (I forget who) seems.... like a bad idea.

Oh well.

As soon as this is released, I am going to go watch all the cutscenes in Japanese (since it'll be released in Japan first) and call it education!
Lol.

Which reminds me, I never went over my kanji for today. I really should. at the rate I'm going (learning four kanji a day like I am) it'll take me five months to complete the kanji book I have. Maybe I should start doing eight a day...

UPDATE TIME!

So, I haven't really been writing...

Well...

Not anything Dead Inside related. Vexen started talking and so I'm in the middle of writing a scene for him (which will end up in Can't Escape)

Then Kairi started talking, and I got about half a page from her that should be the next chapter of Dead Inside (Shad was supposed to have the next chapter, but he was refusing to talk)

Oh! And I finished that scene with Aqua! (Which will be posted to ASAS after I post one other scene which is a continuation of the previous chapter of ASAS)

And currently I'm working on that scene Namine started yelling at me about. That'll be posted to Dead Inside, most likely. But once I'm finished with this scene, I'd like to go back to the scene with Vexen.

Which means no Dead Inside updates for a bit longer

On another note, YES I have been looking at the results to that poll down there on the side of my blog. Or... up there, given the position of this text on the page. Anyway, yes, I've been looking at the results.

I got Riku's character page done. But considering those are such a pain to squeeze out (with the new format it takes roughly a day to do a character, if not two (depends on what else I need to be doing on said day)) it'll be a bit before I'll get Namine's.

As for the Namiku couple page... I'll work on that. Probably when I'm done with what Namine's giving me.

Though, I tried it a bit ago, and I hit a block. The SoKai one was really easy (though I did that when I had inspiration for it...). Making the Namiku one similar to the SoKai one was just... Idk, I started and it was like "BLEH" so I think I'll just open up a document/new blog post and rant about them.
I probably won't have a song for them (I HAVE song, though, it just depends on whether or not I really want to do the song example thing like I did with SoKai) and I will most likely not have a picture for them. I had my SoKai pictures handed to me. Finding Namiku pictures that I want is a pain, and I'm too lazy too draw any new ones (plus I can't find a base for what I would want this picture to be.) Though I might've found a decent picture to use...

So... yeah. That's kind of it.

Oh, well, except that a lot of my attention has suddenly been directed in the direction of my notafic. Which isn't necessarily a good thing. If I get too enthralled with the notafic I'll have trouble writing my fic, so... *shifty glance*
Though, I've started to consider writing my notafic before book 5. I PLAN to write my notafic a year from now, for next NaNoWriMo. The only way that's not happening is if I'm not finished with Dead Inside (which I sure hope I am finished with it by then). Unless I am ENTIRELY lazy with writing for Dead Inside, I don't see how it's not getting done in a year.
At worst, a year from now, I'll have just hit endgame. If I happen to have not hit endgame yet, though, and I will be taking off a month for NaNo.

For any of you who care about my notafic plotting, my character development is going really well. I've never had decent character development before writing my fic, so this is really exciting for me. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing plot-wise (besides that Edd's the antagonist. Yes you read that right.) but I'm loving the character development I've gotten.

Now, prepare for a rant about my notafic (feel free to just NOT read it, I'm cool with that) because I've found if I rant about things I'll stop obsessing over them

So, Colin (whom I suddenly love to death) hasn't shut up since I created him. I based him loosely off of Shad (though his attitude is much more like Riku's, in a way) and...
Well, the relationship between him and Cole is basically the Sora/Shad, light/dark relationship I could never hope to have because it involves them not hating each other.

I was writing Colin's introduction into the notafic, and then Darian (whose name I still may change) started talking. Thanks to Colin, I now have a better understanding of her character and her powers (and, Edd's powers, since he and Darian are the same... use the same sort of magic). I have also better smoothed out Sophi's character (and discovered she doesn't trust Darian) and separated Ema's character from Sophi's (they were always a pair in my head. I'm happy to see them not be exact copies of each other)

I'm still working on Star's character, along with Hope's and Fear's backstory. But I have a feeling that with Colin around things will keep clicking into place.

I also have to work a bit more on Edd's character... but maybe if I stick him and Colin the same room... uh... actually that's a bad idea. Colin would kill him.

In other news, remember those "break room" scenes from my old blog? I actually have a few of those written (well, two. Only one of them is finished. Both of them have Colin in them) and should probably post--
wait, I forgot. I can't post the one I have written because Colin's introduction is in the other one.
Well...
I'll look at 'em again.

I should go back to having Namine rant at me. So... byes!
