Another Update

I dunno if I'll do an update every week or anything, but, I just!! There's only a few small things to cover here, most (all??) of them ftpverse related. This week I haven't done much else, really.


Dead Inside Edits!

These are still coming. We're (well, I'm) tackling them a little differently now though. Maybe I only talked about this on tumblr, but the plan lately had been to finish editing ch104/107 and then upload those two chapters along with about ten other chapters from part 1 of Dead Inside all at once.

Well, I hit a snag called "ch104 leads into 107 which leads into 109 which leads into the rest of this sequence at the start of part 2". And, I've been wanting to edit that sequence because a) it kind of sucks b) despite being the sequence where Kairi finally leaves the Islands like none of it is her pov and I'm a little peeved c) I edited earlier things so, continuity issues

ANYWAY

So that it wouldn't be another month or two before I could upload any Dead Inside edits, I decided to shift my efforts.

I've got two chapters in part 1 of Dead Inside that were also marked for Kairi related edits (though both of them less pressing edits) and I decided I'll just.... I'll fix those up, and then I'll upload all the Kairi edits I've made for part 1.

After that I'll tackle the first, like, 20 chapters of part 2 and edit those. There will be some things between parts 1 and 2 of Dead Inside that won't line up until I've finished the part 2 edits, but, I really just want to upload something finally lol.


Dead Inside OST updates??

I've actually had these done for a while (like, a month or two now) and they've even gone up on 8tracks already, but I held off on uploading any of the liner notes because they reference edits to Dead Inside that I haven't uploaded yet.

I thought it wouldn't take that long to finish all the edits and upload them, so I held off on uploading the liner notes. I realized a week or two ago that the edits weren't going as fast as I wanted but I was committed to wait at that point.

Well, these will probably go up shortly after batch 1 of the Kairi edits go up, so look forward to them. Big things are coming within the next week.


I'd talk more about the OST updates but the short short of it is "I'd found a lot of new (better) songs also just thought the old OSTs sucked so I decided to make new ones so I completely redid them and they're better now."

Trust me. I'm really confident the OSTs are so much better than the originals and are just Good In General. I'm excited to actually share them and why I feel these ways about them. Look forward to it.


Hey how's ATR goin?

I just finished writing ch62! I don't know when I'll upload it. And, though I may write more ATR chapters in the middle of the DI edits, the point of this hiatus is as much to finish up the biggest (Kairi-related) DI edits as it is to build up a buffer for ATR again.

I don't know how long any of this is gonna take me. It could take one month, it could take three. I don't know. But I promise I'll be back eventually. I'm not leaving ftpverse until I'm done lol. I just need to shift my focuses for a while. That's all.



Closing

Anyoo that's all that's really been going on lately. At least in terms of ftpverse, and, I don't think I did anything outside of ftpverse (or at least, not, exciting). So!

Idk if I'll keep doing weekly updates like this or not, but, hopefully, by next week (if not within the next couple days!) I'll have those Kairi updates finished and that'll be my next post!! We'll see.
